Get answers to common questions about Wash & Set.
Most Wash & Set appointments take 60 to 90 minutes depending on hair length, density and desired curl size. We allocate time for a relaxing wash, precise roller placement and hood drying to ensure consistent, long-lasting results.
Yes — we adapt rollers, tension and drying techniques to respect natural curl patterns. Consult with our stylist so we can recommend sizes and product choices that preserve texture while giving defined shape and manageable results.
Hold depends on hair type, humidity and products used; typically three to seven days for structured set styles. Use lightweight hairspray and avoid heavy moisture to extend life. For longer hold, ask about finishing sprays or touch-up appointments.
Absolutely — many clients book Wash & Set appointments for weddings, parties and photos. Arrive with clean, detangled hair if possible; schedule one to two days before major events to allow the style to settle and last longer.
We use gentle, sulfate-free shampoos and dermatologist-recommended conditioners on request. Tell your stylist about sensitivities and we’ll select hypoallergenic, fragrance-free options to minimize irritation while still achieving a polished Wash & Set finish.
You don’t need to wash before arriving unless your stylist asks. Slightly unproducted hair often holds rollers better. If hair is heavily styled, oily or has heavy products, a light pre-wash is recommended — mention preferences when booking.
